The trade unions ZENROREN-Japan, CFMEU-Australia, UITBB-Finland, PEO-Cyprus, IWA-Norway, send donation to APFUTU and APFUTU send relief goods, clothes, schools books and other useful things in quake affected areas of Pakistan , the first anniversary of an earthquake that killed 73,000 people. T hat almost all of the hundreds of thousands of tents distributed to quake survivors in Pakistan will not protect against the harsh Himalayan winter.  

On October 8, 2005 history of Pakistan turned a new page when northern part of the country was hit by massive earthquake. Parts of Azad Kashmir, Khyber PakhtunKhwa (NWFP) and Punjab were severely affected by the tremors and aftershocks that continued for months.After 5 years, earthquake affected population of Pakistan is still waiting for rehabilitation. The government, as usual, stopped short of its commitments, leaving its people without homes and basic necessities of life.

How can you help the earthquake victims ?

Pakistan - Desperate Pakistanis huddled against the cold and some looted food stores as international aid still had not reached remote areas of mountainous Kashmir after a monster earthquake flattened villages, cut off power and water, and killed tens of thousands. Officials predict the death toll, now estimated at between 30,000 and 80,000, will climb and fear that more could die from exposure or disease.
